For years I  fought the BATTLE OF CANTED SCOPES. I purchased and tried every product I could find available on the market, but they just did not meet my expectations. All of them were either hard to use, time consuming, or left me guessing if I had the job done right.   Through necessity, I decided to invent a scope leveler that I could use on all my rifles and hand guns.  It had to be accurate, quick and simple to use, and of durable construction.  I also wanted to be able to use it at the range, at home or in the field.

The first hurdle was to make something that I could use to level the weapon.  The rifle not being in a level (left/right) stance, would compromise accuracy because I would be trying to level a scope to a canted weapon, I developed the “Rifle Bar Level” and that solved the problem.  It easily attaches to the flat extension of the scope mount base or any other flat surface on or near the action.

However, I still needed a fool proof, quick and easy way to level the scope to the leveled weapon.  The second challenge was to design a positive vertical index that, while viewing through the scope, could be used to align the vertical reticle/crosshair. After extensive trial and error, I developed the “Vertical Alignment Shaft”. The adjustable base, made it possible to set up just about anywhere and still be able to center the bubble in the level atop the shaft.  Problem solved…. a portable, perfectly vertical point of reference.
